The is a Triple-play Playlist post. All from the brilliant London Calling album from The Clash. The Clash are generally regarded as a Punk band but I think these 3 songs show that they are a more expansive group of artists than given credit for. “The Guns Of Brixton” does show their punk credentials and has an anthem feel that, I’m sure, many others have followed. “Lost In The Supermarket”, I think, has a more main stream pop/rock vibe. It’s overlooked in their overall catalog of hits but I enjoy their vocal and guitar work on this song. “Train In Vain” is simply a rocking powerhouse. The drums and guitar just jam through with the energetic vocals. Enjoy all three or just drop the needle at the beginning of the album!
