Some of my favorite bands and rock music go beyond the basic guitar, bass and drums instrument foundation. Add some horns, like early Chicago, keyboards or piano, like REO Speedwagon, or Synthesizer, as used by Rush, The Doors, Yes, etc. Or add some orchestral instruments like the Moody Blues or ELO, and a broader, richer sound is created. ‘A Classic Case – The London Symphony Orchestra plays Jethro Tull’ takes this a leap further. With the direction and participation of Ian Anderson, The London Symphony rocks Tull tunes on a new level. If you’re not a fan of Symphonic or Classical music, you probably will not care much for their efforts, but others will likely find this to be an exceptional rendition of Tull’s classic rock staples.
